Brought to you in coordination with our friends at Natural Law and The Lyric Theater, we are happy to host the 2025 Songs for Scholars event benefiting the students of Dwight D Eisenhower High School. Backyard Tire Fire, darlings of radio stations like Chicago’s WXRT-FM in the early 2000s, will headline the special Steve Albini Tribute show hosted by the uber-talented Robert Rolfe Feddersen! This power packed night will feature the aforementioned acts, plus a fabulous young up-and-coming guitarist Nathan Liberty to provide a few great Steve engineered covers from the likes of Nirvana and the Pixies between sets. Our host and opening act will be former headman of Loudmouth, Robert Rolfe Feddersen and friends paying homage to the late great Steve Albini (The legendary Chicago based Producer and Sound Engineer for the likes of Nirvana, PJ Harvey, Cheap Trick, the Pixies and countless others). Food provided by CraveBelly and great beers, sodas and craft cocktails from Blue island Beer Company. Raffles, split the pots and vendor tables will round things out .
